Introduction
Hello Students! Today you are going to become employees of a well known power company in order to explore the world of light! I look forward to seeing the projects you create at the end of this activity! Let's get started by listening to me read Oscar and the Moth by Geoff Waring.

Task
You work for Georgia Power. A customer calls and asks you about light. She wants to know how light is produced, are there different sources of light, and how shadows are created. This makes you think about all of your other customers and their knowledge of light. You decide that you would like to teach comsumers about light so they understand a little bit about what they are paying for every month.
Process
In order to get ready for your presentation, you must do some research to answer some questions. You need to know:
What light is?
What are the different types or sources of light?
How are shadows formed?
You can use these resources to find the answers to your questions.

Once you have finished your research, you should use the materials provided by me to investigate what you found.
Materials:
Instructions, flashlights, battery operated candles, lamps, pencils, teddy bears, and picture of a lightning bug.
Evaluation
Once you have finished your research and investigations, you will then begin to create your presentations. You will have three choices:
1. You can create an Aurasma presentation. Don't forget you must include your trigger picture and attach your video.
2. You can create a popplet that shares your findings, but you must attach 1 video and at least 2 pictures.
3. You can create an iMovie to present your findings.
All videos can include demonstrations or visuals of your choice. Remember, this is your presentation just make sure you are teaching consumers about light!

Conclusion
Now that you have finished your projects, let's review what you should have learned:
1. Light is energy that you can see.
2. There are two types of light. Artificial light and natural light. You should be able to give me examples of both!
3. Shadows are formed by an object blocking light's path.
