Introduction
Welcome to life in 1800's Australia.
This webquest has been designed to help you explore and learn about the Australian Gold Rush and how it impacted on Australia socially, financially and politically and how the Eureka Stockade set Australia on the path to democracy.

Task
It is Gold Fever Time!
The year is 1855. You are a young farmer and have heard many stories from the goldfields about people striking it rich through gold discoveries. However there has also been news of a rebellion due to unrest amongst the diggers about conditions on the goldfields and the purchasing of gold licenses.
Your task is to explore and research information about conditions on the goldfields and decide whether or not you should leave the farm to go and strike it rich.
When you have gathered and assessed the information you will need to record three reasons to go to the goldfields and three reasons to stay on the farm and make a final decision.
