Les Régions de France

Introduction

In this WebQuest students will be asked to research a region in France. They will then be presenting and writing a report on their region. The presentation will include information regarding the regions agriculture, food, geography, history, culture and industry. 

Imagine your school was going on a trip to France and the students had the choice of what regions they wanted to visit. Therefore the students will research a region and explain why the school should visit that region. 

Students will choose one region and research it's main attractions and convince their peers why their region should be selected. The students will complete the project independently and will present their findings to the class, where they will vote on what regions should be selected. They will be five regions selected and the students whos regions were selected will receive extra credit!!

Task

ATTENTON STUDENTS:

Your task for the week is to convice your fellow classmates to vote for your region in France. You will have to complete an oral presentation on your region and also complete a two page paper to convince your teacher why your region should be selected (all must be completed in French). 

DO NOT COPY AND PASTE INFORMATION FROM THE INTERNET. All work must be completed in your own words and to presented in your own opinion. 

YOUR PRESENTATION MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: 
a) the geography (mountains, plains, sea) and the climate of the region (the highs and lows of the summer and winter months)
b) the agriculture (crops and farming) and industry (tourism, steel, wood)
c) the regions famous foods (what they are known for)
d) the language, dialect, dances, music
e) major historical events
f) celebrities who are from the region. 

FORMAT FOR PRESENTATION:

You can use a PowerPoint, a Bristole Board, or brochure to present your region for the oral portion of the project.

the essay is a minumum of two pages
The essay should contain all of the factors to convince your audience why your city should be selected.

Jour 1 : Faites connaissances avec la France

Jour 2 : Commencez le processus de recherche de votre région.

Venez en classe avec un résumé de tous les points que vous aurez besoin pour convaincre votre classe de voter pour votre région. Points que vous aurez besoin de:

a)    Agriculture

b)   Alimentation

c)    Histoire

d)   Géographie

e)    Culture

f)     Industrie

Les étudiants doivent être prêts à remettre une copie de leur résumé des informations de leur région à l'enseignant pour les corrections.

 

Jour 3 , 4 et 5 :

L'enseignant remet les résumés des travaux des élèves et les étudiants seront en mesure de commencer leur présentation.

Les étudiants doivent être préparés pour les présentations de la semaine suivante.

 

Jour 6 et 7 :

Les élèves commenceront la partie écrite du projet. Ils auront deux jours pour compléter le brouillon et le remettre à l'enseignant pour les corrections.

 

Jour 8 et 9 :

L'enseignant remettra les brouillons retour aux étudiants. Les étudiants seront ensuite faire les corrections et être prêt à remettre la copie finale en deux jours.
