Introduction
What if I told you there are four languages spoken in Spain? In this lesson, you are an exchange student from The Bahamas. You are attending the University of Cantabria in Santander, Spain. During your stay you would like to visit other cities so you decide to travel to various places within the country. When arriving to a few cities you notice that the languages are different than the one you're accustomed to. As a result, you are having difficulty understanding the natives. Which languages can you use to communicate with the natives and in which regions can you use them?
Task
By the end of the lesson you will be able to communicate with the natives of Spain in the various languages. You will be able to give the history and any geoprahical information of the languages. As a result, by the end of your studies in Spain there should be no language barrier due to the fact that you would have learned the various languages to communicate effectively.
Process
For this WebQuest you will have to:
- Determine which four languages are spoken in Spain
- Research the history of the language
- Research the various regions in Spain
- Determine which regions the languages are spoken
- Understand why knowing the languages are important
- Create a powerpoint discussing the various languages
- Give auditory examples of the languages
- Give a brief explanation stating why learning the languages were imporatnt to learm

- Some ciritical perspectives are that WebQuests may be difficult for students will reading disabilities making it difficult to create WebQuest for students at a certain grade level, WebQuest can take up a lot of time especially at the first attempt, it may be difficult to use a WebQuest with certain content due to the fact that WebQuests are not made to teach factual information.

- WebQuests can be used in conjuction with educaiton techniques such as collaborative and cooperative learning, analysis skills and critical thinking, and multiple intelligence work.
