The Solar System is a complex array of comets, asteroids, planets, and of course, the sun. In this webquest, you will search the web and resources provided to learn about our solar system and the characteristics of it. You will research the different planets and what makes them different from each other.

Task
Your task is to search through the resources provided below to discover the characterists of each of the planets as well as what makes Earth different from the other planets. You will be asked several questions about the elements of the solar system and it is your job to search the resources to find the answers. Also, some questions will be fill in the blank and the answer can be found in the resources as well.

Evaluation
Answers may vary from site to site when discussing distances. Because of this, there will be several acceptable answers for distances. For the other questions, there is only one accpetable answer and all others will be marked incorrect. This assignment is out of 10 points.

Conclusion
Our solar system is made up of different planets and these planets all have different properties. After doing this WebQuest, it is easier to see just how large our solar system is and how different the planets are. Our planet, Earth, is lucky to be in the right area around the sun and we are all lucky for it!
