Introduction
HEY CADETS!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in a place FARaway? What language would you speak? What would your flag look like? What kind of money would you use? Soon you will learn the answer to these questions and more!
Task
THE TASK:

The cadets will be learning about one of three countries; Chile, Kenya, or Italy. This lesson should take the students 3 weeks to complete. The students will research their topic on the internet, using the links provided on this webquest.
Process
TIMELINE:
This project will take three weeks for you to complete.
WEEK #1- 
~ Before you start, your group must make an important decision!!What country would you like to explore? Chile, Kenya, or Italy?
~ Next, your group will need explore the internet (using the links that will be listed on this website) to find answers to the questions that will be listed on this website.
What is the capital city of the country you have chosen?
Find a map of the country (print it).
About how many people live in this country (the population)?
What kind of money do they use in this country?
What language do people speak in this country?
Find a picture of the flag of this country (print it).

WEEK #2 -

~ You might not have finished finding ALL of the answers to the questions yet. That's OK! Don't worry! Use this week to finish finding those answers.
~ When you're finished exploring websites for the answers to your questions, get together with your group. Did you all discover the same answers? Take the answers to your teacher so that she can see what you discovered!
~ Discuss any other interesting facts that you found about your country. You may want to add them to your final project to make it more creative and interesting!
~ Think about how you want to arrange all of the information you have learned unto a poster.
WEEK #3 -

~ Now, for the fun part. When you have completed all of jobs listed above, your teacher will give your group a white poster. You need to make a poster about your country to show to the rest of the class. Your poster must include:
~ a title (the name of the country you have chosen).
~ a map of your country. Color the map, and label the capital of the country.
~ a drawing of the flag of the country. Use markers to make the flag look as realistic as possible!
~ also include (anywhere on the poster) what kind of money is used, what language is spoken, and the population (how many people live in this country).
~ the names of everyone in your group.

Conclusion

By now, you should have done a lot of research, worked and cooperated with a group of students and created a poster describing your country of choice. You have learned a LOT, and I hope that you had some fun along the way!
