Introduction

When we read books, they are filled with so much detail that we can picture the story come to life in our minds! In this WebQuest, you will practice using descriptive details to make your own stories come to life!

Task

Yesterday, we read I Need My Monster. Put yourself in Ethan's shoes. If you were him, what would you want the monster under your bed to be like? Today, you will be creating your own illustration and description of a monster using specific details. 

Process

Part 1: I would like you to watch and listen to a retelling of the story. Follow the link below to see and hear the story again!

Part 3: You will create your own monster! In order to move on to this next part, you must turn in your paper from part 2 to receive your worksheet for Part 3. You will answer the 12 questions on the worksheet (and shown below) to begin building your own monster. If you are having trouble with finding details to decribe your monster, you can look back into the story for ideas or look at the examples provided below!

REMINDER: This monster must be your own unique creation. You cannot copy an exact monster from the book or the examples.
