Process
First up the colonists coming to the new world. The colonists came to the new world becuase they wanted religious freedom.
In 1755-1760 was the french and indian war wich was between the colonists and the french over the ohio vally.
In 1763 the proclamation of 1763 was crated this said the colonists were not allowed to go west of the appilon miounts.In 1764 came the suger act wich was when the colonist had to pay a tax for suger. In 1765 came the stamp act wich put a 1 cent tax on all paper made goods like stamps , cards , and newspaper. The quartering act was when the colonist had to take care of the solders. In 1766 the stamp act was repled becuase the colonists refused to pay the tax.Also in that year came the declaratory act came with mad it harder for the colonists to stop other acts. In 1767 came the townshend duties came wich was when the colonists had to a tax for all man made goods. 1770 came the boston massacre wich was when 5 colonists died at the hands of the solders and the townshed act was repled becuase the colonists kept protesting . In 1773 the ta act and the boston tea party happened.The tea act was when the colonists had to pay a tax for there tea. The boston tea party was when the colonists thew tea in the boston hbour. In 1774 came the intolerable with were laws set on the colonists after the boston tea party. In 1774 came the first continental congress met to talk about the intolerable acts. On April18,19,1775 was the ride of paul revere was when paul revere wared the colonists that the bristh solders were coming by sea. On April 19,1775 the first shot of the revolution wich was called"the shot heard around the world " at lexington and concord.On May in 1775 the olive branch petition was made and was the colonists last canch to not start war. On May 10,1775 the second continental congress met and was getting ready for war. On June 15,1777 George Washington was made leader of the colonist side of the war. On April 19,1775 came the sige of boston was when new england prevented movment of the solders by land. On May10,1775 was the capture of fort ticonderoga was when the green mountion boys looted a solder. The battle of bunker hill was when the colonists and the solders fought on breeds hill and the colonists made bunkers to fight and protect themslefs. In 1776 Thomas Paine Worte Common Sense wich insped th colonists to fight britan. In 1776 the congress made the declaration of independence wich they asked tomas jefferson to wirte. A loyalist is some who wanted to stay loyal to the king. A patriot is someone who wants to break away from the king. August 1776 the battle of long island was the battle that the bristh control of the strategically. Washington crossing the delwere was a suripripe attack on the hessian forces. Decmber 1776 the battle of trenton was when washington led the main body to go fight hessian. The battle of brandywine was on September 11, 1777 this was a battle fought by the britsh and the colonists. On sepmber and october in 1781 the battle of saratogo was fought and what happen was when the bristh won a small vicory over the colonists. Winter 1777-1778 the winter at valley forge was tough for the colonists becuase of deisies and a low food sulpy . On sepmber and october the battle of yorktown took place .The colonists won and it was the of the revolution. September 1783 the treaty of paris was made wich ended the war.
