3- On your Webquest editing page.
a- Now, after writing your webquest’s title, you will begging working on the webquest itself. In order to do this, you will find a list of several options that need to be completed:.
· The introduction: You will provide an engaging first statement that sets the stage for the entire Webquest. Use your creativity. Include the main questions regarding what the WebQuest is about. Provide necessary background information. (Note: the essential question and background information may also be listed as separate elements of your quest, or they may be included as part of the Task.)
Task
The task: Write here what the student needs to learn by the end of the assignment. . You may have everyone complete the same task, such as creating a PowerPoint presentation, or you may offer your students a variety of tasks from which to choose. Remember: the goal of the question, this learning journey, is the knowledge they come out with at the end.
Process
- The process: This one is easy, and really important. Here, you will write the step-by-step process that students will go through to accomplish the task, and also the role they will be playing. Be as clear as you can: the idea is that the student can do the assignment perfectly without you needing to give them any more explanation. So basically, just the process to accomplish the task.
Evaluation
The Evaluation page: Let`s continue. The Evaluation page contains a rubric, so the students know exactly what you're looking for from them and what they need to do to get a good grade. In other words, here you will write what you are going to be checking and expecting from everyone`s work. There are many rubrics available online or…. you may create your own!!
Conclusion
- The Conclusion page: Is important to consider here what your students should have learned during the task, and it is also important to encourage them to learn even more! Write a final statement that brings closure to the WebQuest and gives students an opportunity to reflect on what they’ve learned. Consider this as a “goodbye sentence, hopefully you have learn well ”
Credits
Credits: Now, pay attention. We are almost done. It is important to help students get their information from somewhere. Write here all of the sources of information they can use. This means you'll need to identify sources for the information you want them to learn. Get good at using a search engine and learn how to use keywords to find the information you want. However, you may choose to provide a list of resources in a separate document. All students may not use all of the resources, especially if students play different roles.
Teacher Page
The teacher Page: Here is where we finish. Write here all the objectives, standards, materials and credits. Think about what a teacher should absolutely know to make this an effective learning experience for all participants. Enter in any information that would help other teachers utilize the resources found here. This may be in the form of credits and references for content used, or perhaps a description of how this webquest is intended for use in the classroom.
4- Finishing your webquest:
- Once you are done with all the steps above, click “Save” to end the editing part.
- Your screen will automatically load into a “preview” of your Webquest. The Introduction, task, and the rest of your page will appear in tabs. Click them to reveal their content.
- Click “edit” to go back and correct or change whatever you want. Or click “View” to see the final product. Remember, you can go back and edit whenever you want.
