Introduction
Hello Students! Today you will be exploring the characteristics and properties of quadrilaterals. Follow
the webquest and fill out the corresponding worksheet. The worksheet must be completed by next class in order to recieve full credit.
Task
Your job is to complete your quadrilateral packet handed out in this class by next class period. You must explore the websites listed under the process tab, and use this to complete your packet. If you would like to work in groups, that is acceptable, but both group members names should be listed, and each studen must turn in their own packet. If you complete the game portion of the packet, it will count as five extra points on your next summative quiz.
Process
Click here to go to the website that will aid in completing your packet. Follow the packet step-by-step.
When you are finished with the information on that webpage, please click here and play the game involved. This part of the packet is extra credit, but will be tested on.

Quadrilaterals
This part of the packet follows the first webpage in order.
- What does quadrilateral mean?
- How is a quadrilateral defined? Draw and example.
- Use the try it yourself portion of the webpage for this question.
- Click on angles and sides at the bottom of the try it yourself box.
- Next, click parallelogram
- Draw the figure in the first box
- List two things inside the box that you notice about this figure
- Repeat this process for square, rectangle, rhombus, trapezoid, and kite.
Parallelogram | Square | Rectangle |
Rhombus | Trapezoid | Kite |
- What are the properties of quadrilaterals?
- Draw your own quadrilateral and measure the angles? What is the sum of the angles?

EXtra credit
Go back to the WebQuest and click the second link. This will take you to a game. You must complete at least five rounds of the game, list the properties of each round, and the quadrilaterals chosen to fit the properties of each round. Use the rest of this page, the back of this page, and extra paper if needed.
