History of Space Exploration

Introduction

Space travel has came along way in the past fifty years. It was no more than fifty years ago that putting a man in space was unheard of. After that was accomplished our goal was to place a man on the moon. After that was accomplished and our goal was to place a man on a permanant space station. That was accomplished. What are some possible future goals of our space program?

Task

Objectives:

The students will:

Review the history of space exploration
Be able to name major accomplishments of space exploration and to understand the future of space exploration
Create a timeline with your group for a decade 20's-30's, 40's-50's, 60's-70's, 80's-90's, 2000's- current. In this timeline you will include a minimum of 10 important facts that occured in the history of space exploration.

Examine the powerpoint over the facts of space exploration.
