This lesson contains content of the history of Georgia from the Trustee Colony all the way to the 1996 Olympics. In this lesson you will create and complete different assignments from the Task tab. Throughout the lesson you will be able to answer questions such as:

3. What were the Jim Crow Laws? How did these laws affect African Americans and their road to civil rights?

Task

Conclusion
This lesson so far has explained many major events in Georgia and how the state has become what it is today. You have learned the impact of slavery, Reconstruction, and Jim Crow Laws on Georgia. This lesson explained populists and one of greatest presidents in American history. Civil rights in Georgia also came into play about how African Americans were finally considered citizens to the majority of the country. Because of Georgia's history we have a way of knowing how it once was and what it came to be.
