Historical Figures in Georgia

Introduction

So far we've talked about James Olgethorphe and Tomochichi, but do you know who this woman is?

For our first WebQuest, your group* will follow each task to discover who this historical figure is and what role she played in Georgia's history!

*For this group assignment, each person will complete every task; but, you will choose one task from each person to be displayed on the posterboard. Each group member needs to have a task represented and each task needs to be displayed.

Task

1- Watch this video.

2- Re-watch the video and circle key places of ineterest on the map I have passed out.

3- On the lined paper I have handed out, and in your own words, retale Mary's story. Who is she? What did she do? Where is she from? Why is she important?

4- Visit this website and list 3 additional facts about our historical figure on a white piece of paper.

5- Go to kidrex.org. Search "Mary Musgrove Photos." As a group, choose 2-3 photos to print. 1 of your photos may be a drawing by a group member.

Process

After you have completed each task, glue your findings onto a piece of posterboard. Don't forget your names!
