Process

Part 1: The Research

You will watch a short video on the aspects of an Unhealthy and a Healthy relationship. He discusses each aspect and provides examples of each aspect. You are to write down the aspects that are mentioned of both an unhealthy relationship as well as the aspects of a healthy relationship. Also, pay attention to the examples that are given that might be helpful for your writing assignment.

Part 2:The Story

Using the information that your group have found, you are then to create your story/scenario. You are either to create a story about a couple or find an celebrity couple that have a healthy or unhealthy relationship. In the story you are to include how they met, how long they have been in a relationship, and what make their relationship what it is. For example it can start like this:

Dave and Michelle are in an unhealthy relationship. They have been dating for over 5 years but have been on and off. The reason why is because two things are missing: one, they are not honest with each other and two, there is a lot of hostility in the relationship. These are often signs of an unhealthy relationship.

If the relationship you choose is an unhealthy one, suggest what can be done to improve the relationship so it can become more of a healthy one. If the relationship you choose is a healthy one, explain what these two have that makes their relationship stable. Remember to include lots of details and be creative!

Part 3: The Presentation

You will present your story using a poster to summarize your groups work. In the poster include: The name of the couple, Their situation, and the advice you would give to others based on thier relationship. Make sure to include visuals!
