  Being Obese

People's best friend in life is food ... From milk to fruits to vegetables to fast food to cooked food we are learning bad habits which is eating without limits. We should put limits; when we are full to stop eating, and know the kind of food we are eating. Because it is not just about eating tasty food but also about eating health food. All what we will end up with is a fat, unwanted body and start to be obese. In this webquest we will find a way to manage our body weight by choosing the correct type of food.

Task

You as grade two students, should put an eating plan for your regular day at school. Your plan should include the activities done during the day plus the kind of meals you'll take. Be careful you have to eat five meals per day ... Then how you're going to manage it!!!

Process

It is all about your choice

For your help this is a hint you may choose in your plan.

Your assignment is to plan for a day. Ask yourself these questions by order while writing:

1- What should I eat as breakfast?

2- What activities I'm going to do before having the second meal?

3- What should I eat for my second meal?

4- How much effort and energy I'm consuming before the third meal?

5- What should I eat for my third meal?

6- What should I eat for lunch when I arrive home from school?

7- What activities I'll do after eating? (studying, playing, sleeping, running...)

8- What should I eat for dinner?

In this way you would put a plan for your activities and food you are eating during the day but be careful and try to choose healthy food.

This is how you will be evaluated:

Evaluation is not only based on my grade of your plan and the food you chose, but it also includes my observation of you during the school day and you parent's observation too at home. I will be asking your parents to keep their eyes on you and to give me a feedback of you behavior during the day ... So be careful and don't cheat!

At the end of this webquest you can now put a healthy plan for yourself and follow it, to grow up healthy and in a good body shape. Dont forget to redo this exercise every day and you will get used to it with time ... Good luck!
