Introduction

Animals on the farm are very important to farmers. Knowing what foods different animals eat, their habitat, and how well they get along with other animals can help farmers decide where each animal should be placed on the farm.
Task
- Your assignment is to help choose which animals will be on the farm.
- You will work with a group of your classmates to learn about different animals that we see on farms.
- Each person in the group will do research on one of these farm animals.
- Then the group will use the information each person has learned to create a farm. Then each student will show where their animal of choice will live on the farm.
Process
- Meet with your group to decide what animal on the farm each member will research: Some examples may include: pigs, chickens, horses, or cows but are not limited to.
- Check out the animals you would like to be on the farm by using the internet link I have provided for you. https://photographicdictionary.com/farm-animals?page=1
- Meet with the group to share each other's animal choice.
- After information has been collected on each member's animal, the group will use a poster board and construction paper to cut out images of their animal and a picture of a farm. On the posterboard students will paste the pictures of their animals in the correct location on the farm.
Evaluation
Students will be evaluated by how well their poster boards look as far as if the animals actually look like the animals the student says it is. They will also be scored by whether the animals are placed in the right locations on the farm.
