Introduction
Georgia's geography includes the 5 regions, 6 physical features, and the resources of each region.
Task
Using materials of your choice (paper mache', colored pencils, clay, etc...) Create a topographic map of the Georgia. Label the 5 geographic regions, 6 physical features, and the resources of each region.
Each student will present their projects to the class.
Process
- Teacher will go over regions, physical features, and resources.
- Students will brainstorm ways to create a 3D topical map of Georgia.
- Students will decide on ways they want to create map and get it approved by teacher.
- Students will begin collecting information in class and create a rough draft of project on paper.
Evaluation
Students will be given a rubric that evaluates the information shown on the map, creativity, neatness, and presentation.
Students will have evaluation sheets to judge their peers as well.
Conclusion
Students will be able to identify each region and physical feature. Students will also be able to tell the resources of each region and how those resources effect and benefit each region.
Students will be asked a series of questions by the teacher and peers.
