Introduction
Geometry is the study
of points, lines, shapes
and space.
Task
For this assignment you will need to draw either different shapes, give their names and why they have the name they have.
Ex:
Square
The shape is called a square because it is a rectangular quadrilateral, which means it has gour equal sides and four equal angles
Process
First, you will pick your 8 shapes (excluding square).
Next, using our chromebooks, you will insert a picture, or draw each, of your shapes onto a blank document.
Finally, you will type the name of the shape and how it got it's name.
On the day this assignment is due, you will present your completed project on the smart board.
Evaluation
Each shape will be worth a total of 5 points:
1 point for drawing the shape correctly
1 point for naming the shape correctly
1 point for accurately describing how it got it's name
1 point for correct grammar (no spelling errors)
1 point for creativity
