Lesson for year 11
Unit: 11.2.4. Land scape 2015
Topic: Geomorphic process
What is a geomorphic process? Using the link attached, define the term and explore further and identify the different kinds and types of geomorphic processes.
http://ppg.sagepub.com/content/27/1/1.short
http://gsabulletin.gsapubs.org/content/63/9/923.short
You can further search geomorphic processes apart from these links researching and learning how each processes shape the land surface.
Task
You are to refer to the following sites to help you attend to the task.
1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ijoXMcS1XI
2.http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1752-1688.1999.tb03598.x/abstract
As you watch the lecture and read from the online library from the links attached, you have to take notes and make notes and complied a geomorphic journal for your major research project.
Your tasks are as follows:
1.Research the geomorpic processes
2.State the types of geomorphic process.
3.How does the geomorphic process shape the landface
4.What impacts these changes on the landsurface have on plants and animals.
Note: Your research will be the documentation of your journal.
Attached below are some external reading to help you complie a journal for your research project

Process
1.Watch this lecture presentation on utube
2. Open the online library and read materials on geomorphic process.
3.Study the image structure
Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ijoXMcS1XI
Open and search for geomorphic materials.http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1752-1688.1999.tb03598.x/abstract
Write in your journal-answer the following questions using complete sentences. Use the attached links to help you.
1. What is a Geomorphic Process?
2. What factors cause geomorphic processes?
3. What are the impacts of these geomorphic processes on the land surfaces?
4. State the three types or geomorphic process.
5. Study the image and specify the type of geomorphic process as your example in the journal

i. Geomorphic process name:
ii. The factor causing this geomorphic processes
iii. The impact on the landscape.
Now you have to structure your geomorphic journal following the layouts here.
Preface
-Journal description
-Summary of your discussions
-State key terms in the journal
Introduction
-State the topic
-Introduction of the topic
-State the discussion points
-Brief summary of the topic with linking words to the body
Body
-Analyses of the topic
-Discussion of the points
-State examples with intext citions
-Add images if necessary
-State what new ideas/concepts discovered in the course of the research
Conclusion
Summary of the discussion points
Glossory
-State complex geographic terms used in your research write up
References
-State all the references that you have sited in this course of the research
Index
-State the necessary references that readers can further read
NOTE!!
THE PDF BOOK ATTACHED WILL GIVE YOU A MORE IDEA TO DO THE JOURNAL FOR YOUR RESEARCH PROJECT.

Conclusion
The journal will really help improve you geographic inquiry skills and will also improve you understanding of the GIS that we have covered earlier in the unit.
There is so much more to learn about the geomorphic process and how it shape the land surface. The more you research the topic, it will provide to you an indepth knowledg of how these process have shaped the land from since the beginning of time. There are many books in the library that can help you. You can also ask me any questions with regard to this topic through my email or in school during the consultation times and class time for additional information.

The utube in this lesson activity is from a leacture from a university.
The image and other resources were sourced from google website.
If you do research online using the library, you will find out that some books and magizines have copy rights attached to them. You will only view online and will be able to print 10% of the entire materials so I urge you to spend time and reach to save cost.

Geography lesson for year 11 on topic: Geomorphic processes under unit 11. 2.4 landscape
Teacher Introduction
This lesson was designed for the year 11 who are currently studying geography under unit 11.2.4 Landscape. The year 11 students of St.Gabriel's Technical Secondary School in Kiunga Western Province Papua New Guinea were being introduce to geography as part of their subject combiation for the national examination certificate as andpart of this subject is this topic on geomorphic processes.
This webquest incorporates research and literature in a fun way for students.
