What is a scale drawing -
http://www.virtualnerd.com/middle-math/ratios-proportions-percent/scaleā¦
- Use your math skils to calculate the periment of the garden area.
- Use your math skills to calculate the area of the garden area.
- On your graph paper, using a straight edge and a pencil, draw the outline of the garden.
- on the upper left corner indicate where north is and box it in
- on the upper right hand side indicate the scale you are going to use
- Determine the scale that you are going to use: Here are some suggestions: 1:5 1:8, 1:10, 1:16 and 1:20. A 1:16 scale means that 1 inch on your plan equals 16 feet in real life.
- Place the gate in its correct location and include the dimensions
- Place the landscape bed with all of its plant material (trees- location and correct number and Peace pole (location). Watch the video to know how to draw trees on your map (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkKBs0vkxYA)
