Introduction

Get ready to embark on an exciting adventure exploring marine life and the importance of clean water through the literature of Carl Hiaasen.  As a class, we will read Carl Hiaassen's book FLUSH.  As you read, you will learn more about Carl Hiaasen's life, the books he has written, and the things that inspire him as an author.  
As you read, you will learn more about Florida, and its' unique animals and ecosystems.  You will develop a deeper understanding of the things that are endangering these places/creatures.  Pack up your supplies and get ready for an exciting journey of discovery! You never know what you may find on this exciting adventure!

Task

For this Webquest you will complete 3 tasks.

1.    Learn more about one  of the endangered or threatened marine life species using the Florida Ecology Resources page.

2.    Work collaboratively in a literature circle to read and discuss a Carl Hiaasen book

3. Learn more about the author Carl Hiaasen.
