Introduction
Welcome to your webquest on epic heros, epic poems and archetypes. By the end of the quest, you should be an expert and able to demonstrate your expertise.
Task
You and your team will:
Research the characteristics of an epic poem and its purpose
Research the characteristics of an epic hero and identify the most famous heros from several cultures
Research the concept of the archetype and apply its meaning to modern literature and/or film characters
Create a storyboard demonstrating the hero's characteristics
Process
Divide your team based on research focused tasks. Each task should be demonstrated on a Google Slide
Team member 1 - what defines an epic poem and what is its purpose?
Team member 2 - find five epic heroes from ancient literature and cultures
Team member 3 - identify what the 7 characteristics are of an epic hero
Team member 4 - research Joseph Campbell's hero's journey and identify the hero's cycle

Together in Google slides - create a hero's journey using a modern day epic hero, such as Bilbo Baggins, Luke Skywalker, or Harry Potter.
When you are done, you should have four slides with visuals from the individual tasks above plus 11 slides of the modern day hero's journey.
