Introduction
Description: The objective of this project is to introduce students with special needs to diversity. It is challenging to introduce diversity to learners with special needs. However, I am hoping that in the process of working on this cooperative art project, learners will see the relationship between individual and group. Just like every person, each leaf has a unique purpose. Another goal of this project is to provide opportunity to socialize by engaging the students in small group or pair work.
Grade Level: 4th-6th grades with moderate/severe disabilities
