Becoming a Meteorologist

Meteorology is a fun and exciting career choice! Meteorologists across the world get to predict some of Mother Nature's wildest weather. From hurricanes to tornadoes and from heatwaves to blizzards, this is one career choice that will keep you on your toes.

Being able to give the weather conditions in multiple languages can increase your audience and even allow you to travel around the world.

Task

Task:

You are a meteorologist interviewing for a news station position in Florida. The producers would like to reach a broader audience so they are looking for someone who can present the weather in both English and Spanish.

You must research the weather conditions in a variety of Latin American countries and develop a weather chart to present for your interview. Remember that Latin American countries give the temperature in Fahrenheit and Americans use Celsius. You must convert the temperatures. Into both. Then, It’s your turn in front of the camera. Make a video of yourself giving the weather report.
