Introduction
Diabetes is common condition that can last a person's whole life. In Australia almost 1.1 million people have been diagnosed with diabetes and and estimated 3.2 million people with undiagnosed or pre-diabetes. Due to how common this condition is in Australia and the effect it has on family and friends, this webquest will help you understand the condition, its symptoms, how it can be prevented and how it can be managed. By the end of this webquest you should be able to explain the defferences between type 1 and type 2 diabetes, what its symptoms are, how it can be prevented and some ways it can be managed.

Task
In groups of two you will take turns using the computer to research diabetes and the differences between type one and type two diabetes. You will be required to answer the questions outlined in "Process" and use these answers to create a poster or a leaflet explaining both type one and type two diabetes, the symptoms of diabetes, How to prevent type 2 diabetes, as well as how type one and type two diabetes can be managed.
