Task

You are going to explore and learn about folk tales. Folk tales are short stories that have been passed down from generation to generation. There are many different types of folk tales and they come from all over the world.  During this webquest you will be exploring and finding the definitions for the different types of folk tales, you will then create a slide in Google Slides of each type of folk tale and tell the definition, an example, from what country it is from and a picture that represents your example of the folk tale. Have fun exploring and finding the different folk tales!

Process

To begin your adventure, you will be finding the definitions of each type of folk tale by clicking on the name of each one below.

1.  Fairy Tale

2. Legend

3. Myth

4. Tall Tale

5. Fable

Next you will need to read or watch the folk tale from the link provided.

Fairy Tale                  Legend                      Myth

Tall Tale                     Fable

After you have viewed or read about each type of folk tale, you will need to click on each story title and find out what country each one came from.

Lon PoPo                      King Arthur             The Midas Touch

Pecos Bill                                The Lion and the Mouse

Now that you have your information about the origins of the folk tales, you will need to find pictures of these tales and insert them onto your slide.

Once your slide is complete, and you have checked the scoring rubric in Evaluation, then you will share it with me.  (sally.rost@mjays.us)
