Introduction
Mississippi is a southern state with a population around 3 million people. In the state of Mississippi there are eighty-two counties that its citizens call home.
Task
Your task is to pick a county to research. At the end of the project you will be able to tell me when the county was founded, the county's largest city, the mayor of that city, and if anyone famous came from this county and any notable land marks.
Process
Before you start, you will pick which county you are going to be reporting on. Since there are 82 counties, no county will be used more than once.
Next, we will spend two class days in the computer lab where your county can be researched.
At the end of this project you will tell me through some type of report:
- when the county was formed
- what is the largest city in the county
- who is the mayor of that city
- if anyone famous has come from the county
- any notable landmarks located in the county

Conclusion
