Introduction
Hello travellers! You are a small group of travellers who are fascinated with the state, West Virginia. You are looking to explore North Central West Virginia and the counties that make it up. You want to see the important sites within each of the counties surrounding your starting place, Barbour County, as well as the routes and roadways needed to reach these places!
Task
Your task is to find all the counties surrounding Barbour County and how the sites you want to see as well as the routes to get there! Have fun with this!
Process
First is to split up into two smaller groups.
Group 1 is going to get on maps.google.com and find the state of West Virginina as well as find the starting point Barbour County. Group 1 will also find the surrounding counties. Surrounding counties for this assignment are any counties that touch Barbour County.
Group 2 will have the task of researching the sites they would like to see. They will do this by going to google.com and put in the exact words "sites to see in (enter county here)." They will then decide on 1 and only 1 site to see in each county.
After each group gets their information, they will get back to Google Maps and look at the county routes and interstates to determine how they are going to get to their destinations. Critically think about the quickest way to get from your starting point, your school in Barbour County, to the site you want to see.
Evaluation
You will be graded on how well you present your locations and how you describe the routes you are going to take to get to said sites. Grading is up to my interpretation of how hard you all worked on the project.
Conclusion
Now that you know these counties and routes you will be able to know how to get to certain places and when you one day get your lisence, you will be able to read a map and what the routes mean and where they go.
