- researching outreach organizations/programs available that fit the Works of Mercy
- using the Catechism to take a closer look at the Corporal Works of Mercy
- finding scripture to make connections
- present the organization/program you researched

Part 1: Poverty
Research the following questions/statements. Write down throrough answers on a separate sheet of paper. Be sure to include the website where you found the information.

What are the root causes of poverty?
How does poverty affect children?

Answer the following questions on a separate sheet of paper.
What are the best ways to reduce poverty?
What organiztion/charity live out the works of mercy? Which one?
Research the organization. Include:
- history of outreach
- number of people it helps
- needs of the organization
- explain how it follows the corporal work of mercy

Evaluation
Part 3: Connections to the Scripture
Locate scripture to use as an example for the works of mercy that the organization/charity fits.

- how it shows the work of mercy
Conclusion
Create a PowerPoint presentation to present to the class. Be sure to include information from each part. You will need to combine your research from part 1 and 2.
Presentation Requirements:
- Presentations need to be 3-5 minutes long
- Everyone will need to have a speaking part
- Need to use pictures or images
