Conflict: Summative Assessment
In quarter 3 US History we have been studying conflicts, your final assessment for the quarter asks you to choose one post Cold War conflict and complete a webquest.
What's a webquest?
A webquest is an inquiry-based learning exploration that utilizes the vast amounts information available on the web! This means you will be using web-based resources to research your chosen conflict.
Research Question: How do post Cold War conflicts have ties in early American conflicts?
Task
Role: The Reporter—You are a field reporter and have been assigned to cover your conflict for the Pioneer Press.
Create a 1-2 page article about you conflict to submit to inform the people back home of the causes, actions and effects of the conflict. Be sure to include the following in your article:
- Include pictures and/or graphics to enhance the appearance of your article
- The main cause(s) of the conflict
- The important events (actions) that took place during your conflict
- The outcomes (effects) of your conflict [Think: Was is resolved? Was it fair to all people involved? Why/whynot?]
- How does this conflict tie in to one of the 4 major US conflicts (American Revolution, Civil War, WW1/WW2, Cold War) we studied in class?
