Introduction

Welcome my lovely students! I hope everybody is fine today, once we have explored the topic, you will then create website about computer viruses. Let's start the our topic..

Malicious software is commonly referred to as "Malware". Malware can include such things as viruses, worms, trojans, phishing, and even spyware. These malicious codes (software) can cause great harm to your computer, and if connected to a network (such as the World Wide Web) can spread and cause harm to other computers also.

Malware is such a problem today that even our smart phone isn't safe. So how is it getting into our computers? There is a number of reasons why, but the most common is low to no personal security settings.

Different types of infections:

Viruses-A virus is a small software that attaches itself to different computers' hard drives by going through the internet. For example, when you run a program the virus runs with it and destroys your computer in different kinds of way.

E-mail virus-An e-mail virus moves around the internet by mailing itself automatically to the people in the victim's address book.

Worms-Is a computer program that copies itself from computer to computer. Worms infect different machines by computer networks. Worms use networks to expand by copying itselves very quickly. One of these threats happened on July.19, 2001, when a "Code Red" worm cloned itself over 250,000 times in approximately nine hours.

You can protect your computer against viruses with a few simple steps to follow:

If you are really worried about viruses you should be running a security system such a Norton Anti-virus or Norton Firewall. Getting this security system is a very nice lifeguard

Furthermore, if you get an anti-virus or a firewall do not forget to update it for the latest security of your machine. But also remember these viruses usually come from the internet, so if you do not have internet access there will be less of a chance that your computer will not get a virus but that doesn't mean the machine is secured 100%, these viruses can from other different ways other than the internet. For example, you might get a virus from a floppy disk or burned cd-roms that a victim has gave it to you accidentally and you install or copy it into your computer.

So why do people make viruses? Well most of these viruses are actually made by the anti-virus companies. They make these viruses so their products can be sold to the victims. That is why updating your anti-virus is important; the reason is that newer viruses are made by the company's virus engineers.

Dear friends, using the information you have learned in the past, and using the links I gave you will perform the following projects. Also your project is about computer viruses. (What are the types of viruses? or how we protect our computer from viruses?) You have to apply all steps orderly. If you have problem in the project time, pls contact me with my e-mail. Process

Four of the groups to be created.
This group will design and develop a website about computer viruses.
It will be designed in the form of at least 10 pages
It must make four menu. General information, types, prevention, useful links and resources.
You can design as you like the design of the home page and pages.(color, footer, border, font,etc)
Website should contain 5 pictures and video surely.
This site must be original and creative. You must apply the multimedia principles we learned last year.
After designing the report will be written about what was done at the beginning of the end of the project at least 4 pages. Each group member will write a page.
Finally, create a file, send me an e-mail. Please do send a file for each group. The file name must have the name of the group. All resources are stored in this file.
Deadline day is 10 May 2016.
