The Cold War was mainly between the United States and the Soviet Union about ideology. The United States believed in a democratic government, while the Soviet Union believ d in a communist government. During the war the US wanted to stop the spread of communism while the Soviet Union wanted to spread a communist government. The war lasted from 1947 to 1991.

3. How did the space race and arms race create tension throughout the United States? The World?
This is a picture of who controlled or were allies with who. The US had most of the countries in the world, so the had the bigger advantage.

Task

Write an essay that is on the main points of the Cold War. The three essential questions should also be answered in your essay.
You will need to do the following to complete this webquest:
1. Research six articles that relate to the essential questions.
2. Evaluate both the United States and the Soviet Unions side of the essential questions.
3. Create a rough draft of your essay on the Cold war in general. (Main points)
4. Make corrections towards your rough draft.
5. Create a final copy of your essay on the Cold War in general. (Main points)
