The Cold War was the long period of tension between Western, democratic countries and Eastern Europe, communist countries. The Cold War was an ideological conflict. It caused many things such as the arms race and space race. This war impacted and affected the world forever.
This is the flag of the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union had a communist government and was growing rapidly.
