Introduction

The Cold War was an international-brutal-war that lasted from the 1940's to the early 1990's. During this war there were many proxy wars and events such as the Space race, Arms race, Korean War, and the Vietnam War. These all contributed to success and failure of the United States of America's initiative to stop communism. In this activity you will evaluate questions such as; How did U.S.A's failure in Vietnam effect the government and the Americans outlook of their placement in the war? How did the arms race assist America in the Cold War, why was it important to partake in the race? How has the Vietnam War influenced American citizens in voicing thier opinions?

Task
In this activity you will make an essay discussing the effects of the Korean and vietnam wars and the Cold War in general, on government and citizens. In this essay you will answer the essential questions, by using a minimum of 3 documents. For each war you will need to make a short informational (note) that includes vital information, there will be a minimum of 7 sentences per Informational. Using these informationals you will make your essay, which will be at least 5 paragraphs. Make sure to begin your essay with the causes of the Cold War, significant events such as the Space and Arms race should be included to add detail, the concluding paragraph should explain the end of the Cold War.

2. Research the Korean, Vietnam, and entirety of the Cold wars effects on the government and citizens, there should be at least 3 sources used. 45 MIN
3. Make sure to put information such as the Space and Arms race in your essay, but do not summarize them. They are there for added detail. 20MIN

Evaluation
1- The student did not meet at least 40% all topics that needed to be covered, the essay was not historically accurate. There was not 5 paragraphs, 3 documents, and there was not a small informational made to use for the essay. A Bibiliography was not included.
2- At least 40% of the of the project topics were covered, the essay was accurate but not entirely. There were at least 3 paragraphs in the essay, at least 2 documents used, at least two informationals were made and used to help constuct the essay. An incomplete bibiliography was presented.
3- More than 60% of the project topics were covered, the essay was accurate but not entirely. There were 5 paragraphs in the essay, 2 documents were used, and two informationals were made that were used to help construct the essay. An incomplete bibiliography was presented.
4- More than 60% of the project topics were covered, the essay was accurate. There were 5 paragraphs, 3 documents were used, and three informationals were used to help construct the essay. A complete Bibiliography was presented.
