The Cold War

Introduction

The Cold War was a time where there was poliyical hostility between countries. Since it was a Cold War, there was threats, propaganda, and other measures that DID NOT involve warfare. These hostilities mostly involved the Soviet Union and the U.S. powers from 1940-1990. This webquest involves the main points along with the reasoning for the Cold War.

How did the causes of the war effect the United States during that time?

How did the citizens and soldiers in this time react to the major tensions like the Vietnam and Korean Wars?

How did the Space Race and Arms Race push for the end of the cold war?

The Space Race was a race to see who could get something to first. Thiis picture represents this.

Task

For this tast you will be writing an essay.

1. Look over the essential questions for that is what you will have to cover in your essay.

2. Look at atleast 3 websites to research the questions.

3. Take notes to make it easier for you to write the essay.

4. Write the essay.

5. Make sure you covered the question and criteria.

To get a good grade, make sure all topics are covered. The topics include...

Process

1. Looking over the questions should take approximatley 2-3 minutes. This will remind you of what you have to write your paper on.

2. Finding 3 websites should  30 to 45 minutes.

3. You can take notes while on the websites so this can be put in with the 30-40 min section for research.

4. Writing the essay should take up most of your time. To answer all three of the questions throughly it should take atleast 1 hour.

5. Proof reading to make sure you have all the criteria should also be quick. That will take approximately 5 minutes.
