Claymation is a perfect art form to incorparate into our classroom. So lets do it!

We will use an awesome stop motion animation app called Osnap! to help us through our experience. Grab some clay and an Ipad and lets get started.

Task

You will be given tasks to create a stop motion animation using clay. You will need to create a storyboard, which explains your thought process and final outcome. You will use the app Osnap to compose the actual motion picture.  You will need to be able to confidently present your creation to the class through an oral presentation.

Process

The first thing we need to so is create a story board. Animators always start off with a story boad to plan out the plot.

Keep it simple. Do not make it a complex task to accomplish.

Yes! you will create your own character out of clay!

Heres a clip that will help you better undertsand what we are actually going to do.

When you are done with your storyboard. Scan your class QR code into the Seesaw app so that I may leave comments and suggestions.

We have the option to add music to our animation. Think about what song you would like to use and how it will affect your story

I will provide a basic scenery which we can all use. It will be an outdoor set with a blue sky and clouds. I will add a couple of objects that you can have your chracter climb, roll, and walk towards. You can also bring your own props to add some personalization to your clip.

 .

We will navigate through the app Osnap app. We will use it to record our claymation project.

This is how it works:
