Background
The civil rights law was a crucial period and the nation divided as to how to fight against racism and find a way to make sure that every man would be seen as created as equal, as documented in the American Declaration of Independence.
Introduction
Imagine being told that you could not go to the same school, restaurants or cinema because of the way you looked. The Civil Rights Movement began to change this way of life for many, especially African Americans who were segregated, or separated from other people in Southern states. Many people of all nationalities came together to fight this unequal treatment.
Through this WebQuest, you will learn about the Civil Rights Movement and learn about the difficult time African Americans had living in the United States because of the color of their skin.
