Introduction
In one or two years, all of you will inevitably graduate from high school and move on with your lives. It is no surprise that you have some serious decisions to make in the upcoming months about what you will do when you leave this building. We all know that it is imperative to establish some kind of employment in order to sustain a living. No one expects you to know for sure what career path to choose at 17 or 18 years old; however you as an individual have your own personal interests, expectations, strengths and weaknesses that will somewhat determine where you start your journey and where you end up.
This webquest is designed to teach you how to properly research different options successfully and make informed decisions about your plans after high school. Always remember, you have the power to change your life because you have the power to change your mind. Always remember that when you do change your mind, do it for the right reasons and try to make informed decisions.

Task
Your task is to create a building block for life after high school. Each one of you will need to explore your own personal career options, training required and facilities (college, vocational, trade) offering said training. Then, in groups of three, you will share the information you have learned with each other to create a collaborative presentation. You will have choices in how to present the information (i.e. PowerPoint, prezi, emaze , video presentation, interview role play, or an alternative teacher-approved method) but everyone will be assessed using the same rubric.

Begin by viewing this video recording of College to Career link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPFPUHDiMk0
As you listen, think about the following:
•Do you want to move out of the state after high school?
•Do you hope to stay at the same job for most of your adult life or do you think you may change along the way?
•Do you hope to be in a leadership role?
•What skills are you equipped with that will help you adapt to challenges in the "real world"?
After you have veiwed the video and thought about the question.

Upon returning to class, write a short reflection about your experience. Include the name of the school or training facility, three interesting facts about the facility, the graduation rate, and admission requirements. Also include the degree or certificate you were researching.
Some of you may have the same class aspirations so If someone has already covered your school or facility, add new information only to it.
