Cells

Introduction

We are all made of a bunch of CELLS!

What is a Cell?  Are Animal and Plant Cells the same? How are they different?  What do cells do and where can I find them?

Join us on a mission to uncover the answers to these questions and unveil the different parts of a cell.

Do you accept the challenge?

Let's go!

Task

Your scientific responsibility is as follows:

You and your partner need to research a plant and animal cell (one person researches the plant, the other researches the animal cell). You and your partner will turn in a completed copy of the items listed below (number 6 is to be completed at home and brought in).

Process

Remember, your task is to help the scientists get the cell slides back into the correct boxes. You will use the following resources to learn about the animal cell structure.

Animal Cell

1) Go to Cells Alive (link below) and interact with the live digitized animal cell. Be sure to click on each label to see its function.  This data is vital to one of your end products.
