Introduction
Catching Fire

After arriving safely home from their unprecedented victory in the 74th Annual Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) discover that they must do a quick turnaround and begin a Victors Tour. As she and Peeta travel throughout the districts, Katniss senses a rebellion is stirring. However, President Snow (Donald Sutherland) proves that he is still very much in control when word comes of a cruel change in the rules for the upcoming 75th Hunger Games.
Students will use their knowledge of the book to unable them to answer the questions provided and see if the odds are ever in they favor.
Task
Students will partipate in two online games that will test the knowledge of the book
After completion of taks there is a small writing assignment in which you asked to explain one reason you believe the government partipipates in the Hunger Games

For your final task I would like you to each come up with a reason you believe the government participates in the Hunger Games.
Evaluation
After completing the quiz and your writing assignment can you think of an instance in your life where you have experienced or witnessed your own government engaging in such atrocious acts.
Through out history often times something monumental in the news is used in order to distract society from the bigger picture much like the love affair constructed between Katniss and Peta.
For research for your conclusion I would like you to go onto the internet and see if you can find something major happening in the entertainment side of the world why there was a major world or civil issue trying to be covered up.
Conclusion
After completing your quizzes and research I would now like you to sit down and outline some points that can be useful in writing your next paper about dystopian societies.
You should have a clear Thesis statement and at least three major points backing up your statement.
