Cajun Cuisine

Introduction

Bonjour classe!

As a part of our unit on Francophone Louisiana, we will be taking a closer look at Cajun cuisine! This WebQuest will help you and your group explore Cajun food.

Task

After exploring all Cajun cuisine has to offer, you and your group will create a Cajun restaurant in the heart of New Orleans! You will need to pick different dishes for the menu.

1. First, form a group of 4-5 students. If there are problems, groups will be assigned to you.

2. Next, your group will examine the links to Cajun recipes and food.

3. Once you have researched the cuisine, your group will make a name for your restaurant (BE CREATIVE).

4. Next, you will pick dishes for the menu (a minimum of 5 dishes). Create a sample menu and include 2-3 sentences describing each dish.

5. Present your menu to the class!

Helpful Hints: Think about your favorite restaurant! Think of how the menu is arranged and what is served. Remember, be creative! Also, think about assigning jobs for each group member to help move the process along.
