Introduction

Welcome to Business Writing 101.  As you go through life there are times you will want to sound like:

or perhaps you want to let people know that you started from the bottom and now you are here:

 

However - there are times that you want to sound more like these people:

Thank goodness we have this unit so that you are able to speak and write appropriately in the world of business

Task

Today's task is to watch the videos, read the articles and form a general understanding of how language and writing in the world of business is different from the way we speak to each other in Room 240.

Process

Watch Video #1 and use the acting, quotations and text to form an initial understanding of communication:  (Irony:  she never speaks)
