Hello Students!
Welcome to the National Museum of Biomes. You have been given a job as a tour guide for the exhibit of Biomes of the World. Your job for this webquest is to find out all of the information about the topics given to you about your biome. You will create a multimedia presentation for your particular biome. Your job as a tour guide will be to present your biome exhibit to visitors that will come in and tour the National Museum of Biomes.

Task
You will work in groups of 4 on your group's assigned biome. Together you will research facts about your biome, including: animals, plants, habitats, niches, food webs, food chains, climate, types of precipitation, and where you can locate these biomes.
List of Biomes:
Deciduous
Desert
Taiga/Boreal/Coniferous
Tundra
Tropical Rainforest
Temperate Rainforest
Grassland
Process
You will be in a group of 4 and will need to locate information for the biome your group was assigned.
Information that will need to be gathered:
Location
Climate
Average Temperature
Types of precipitation
Animals
Plants
Habitats
Niches
Food chain
Food web
As you are gathering information you will need to decide the roles that each of you will take in this presentation.Types of roles include: Facilitator (keeps the group going, leads discussions, makes sure that everyone is heard etc.), Recorder (writing all ideas down), Reporter (summarizes the material), Materials Manager (collects material and turns material in), Time Keeper (keeps up with the time and reminds the group how much time is left), and Checker (checks for accuracy and goes over the written work).
Everyone will take part in the presenting portion of the project.
