Banksy: Artist or Vandal?

Introduction

Students evaluate and defend the validity of sources for content and the manner in which subject matter, symbols, and images are used in the students' works and in significant works by others.

Task

Students will observe several pieces of Banksy work and determine whether or not the pieces are infact art or vandalism. They will have to use terms of principles and elements to decide if these things are applied to the pieces to support their answer.

Evaluation

Pick a partner and make a Venn diagram using principles and elements that are in artwork v.s. in graffiti. 

Conclusion

Students observed several pieces of Banksy work and determined whether or not the pieces are infact art or vandalism. They used terms of principles and elements to decide if these things are applied to the pieces to support their answer by watching an interview, view his pieces, and reading an article about him.
