Autism is always a disorder worth talking about and the fact that UW-Whitewater is concidered one of the most diverse schools in the country makes it a great opprotunity to lean how to accept, communicate, and most importantly not to discriminate against. As you can see in the video, autism does not limit anyone to fufilling their dreams. In this generation, the word retard has became well known as a "put down" or when one is refering to something that is stupid. The main point of this Quest is to spread the word to end the word and to educate the public on the topic of autism.

Conclusion
Autism is a disorder that is nothing to make a joke of. I have a cousin that lives life with autism and it is difficult to understand that someone so full of life can be made fun of as much as he does. Hearing the word retard or someone saying that something is retarted simply make me cringe. The spread the word to end the word campaign is something I follow on a regular basis and I feel as if the more information one can obtain on this matter is for the better.
