Introduction:
The purpose of this webquest is to introduce you to AT&T Stadium and the architectural details and structural challenges that its unique design presents. You will be asked to navigate a series of web pages that will give you more detail about the history of stadium construction and some of the inspiration that came from historical architectural structures.
Essential Questions:
How were architectural details utilized to create a stadium design that was unique for the Dallas Cowboys? What were some historical architectural structures that influenced the overall design of AT&T Stadium? Why is material selection important when designing an architectural structure?
Task
Task:
Your team will go on a virtual journey of historical and contemporary architecture to discover how AT&T Stadium became a reality. Your teacher will designate your group size and you will work as a team to produce a digital presentation (Google Slides, Powerpoint, Prezi, etc.) The slide presentation will be developed in the following format:

Slide 1: Title Page. Should include group member names, name of the project, and a background picture of AT&T Stadium.

Slide 2: Show examples of where glass has been used as a building material. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using large amounts of glass in architectural design?

Slide 3: Give examples of two other stadiums that have retractable roofs. Compare and contrast those roofs with the roof of AT&T Stadium.

Slide 4: Show graphically where reinforced concrete is used in AT&T Stadium construction (pictures you took during the tour). Give historical examples, with pictures, of where reinforced concrete was used in the past.

Slide 5: AT&T Stadium is used for more than just playing football. Describe 3 other stadium uses and the process of changing between venues. Include pictures of at least 3 other uses of the stadium besides football.
