Process
If you decided that you are interested in this Webquest and hunger for justice for the Asylum Seekers, we recommend you should read the information below, to familiarise yourself with Asylum Seekers. We know that a majority of people think that reading information is boring and a waste of time. Our team believes that this information will enlighten you and will you to read on.
Asylum Seekers are people who travel from their country due to war or life-threatening issues. Asylum Seekers use boats to sail across ocean to wash up on the shores of another country. The Asylum Seekers will seek Asylum and a Safe Haven for their children and family while they recover and wait for the issues in their country to pass.
The decision whether or not the person is a refugee or not, belongs to the government agencies of the host country. In some cases the government will not see the person as a refugee, but instead will see them as an illegal immigrant who is not a citizen of the host country, regardless of how dangerous it is to travel back to the seeker’s country. The person will be deported back to their home country immediately.
In the last year, there has been a raised amount of Asylum Seekers. The amount has trouble an amazing amount of citizens. Many riots have arisen and all over the news, there has been no bigger talk than Stopping the Boats. Imagine you were an Asylum Seeker, who has escaped death, but then is sent back to die by your own brothers and sisters. How would you feel.
On April 30 2016, hundreds of Australian citizens gathered in Melbourne to protest against the offshore detention of Asylum Seekers.
The Sydney Morning Herald filed a report that exposes the Abbott Government, who stated that they had turned back 633 Asylum Seekers.
As of November 30 2015, there are 1,852 people in immigration detention facilities, and 585 people in community detention in Australia. This included 104 children in immigration detention facilities and 331 children in community detention.
All these people just wanted to escape the dangers lurking in their own homes. Remember, no-one would put their children in a boat, unless the water is safer than the land.

Biblical Relation and Analysis
We believe that an appropriate biblical passage that matches our social issue is; Exodus 20:2-18 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus+20
A relative commandment would be: You shall not give false testimony against your neighbour.
From this commandment we can assume that “our neighbour” is the Asylum Seekers and “You” is us as humans. We can translate the commandment to: We should not give false testimony against Asylum Seekers. The decision whether a person is a refugee lies with the host country, sometimes a person will not be seen as a refugee but instead as an illegal immigrant where they will be sent back to their own country. From this information we can now properly translate the commandment to: We should not turn back Asylum Seekers for doing what they have to.
Another relative commandment would be: The Golden Rule; Love one another as I have loved you/Do unto others as you would have them do unto to you.
From this commandment we can assume Love - being respecting, regardless of race, colour or creed.
One another - meaning everyone in the world we SHARE including Asylum Seekers
As I have loved you - God walked the Earth long ago, but he still holds currency in today’s world. We remember him because of what he did -
He showed us the way

these asylum seekers hard life. It is up to you to think about this issue and develop
some real alternatives.Pursue your beliefs and continue to be proactive in an
ever-changing world. Make it possible to start dealing with the matter now, instead of

Just keep in mind, no one puts their children in the boat, unless the water is safer than
the land. It is only through such processes that truly informed debate can occur and
