Introduction

Welcome to your new job as an Addictions Counselor!

Before you begin your job you will have to learn a bit about alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs so you will be prepared to help your clients.

In case you don't already know, a drug is any substance that alters the human body's normal state.  This means there are a lot of substances that can be called drugs.  Things you don't even think of as drugs count.  Today you will be learning about some of the most common drugs that teens, like you, are exposed to, and what they can do to the body.  You will also learn about ways to say no to the temptation of using these substances!  This will help you on your way to helping your first client!  Click the Task button to move on.
