Alcohol and Drug Abuse

Introduction

Teens use alcohol and other drugs to fit in with their fellow peers, with society or just to get away from their personal problems. Drugs and alcohol make the teen feel better about themselves and it also makes them think that they are invinsible. With more teens becoming more addicted to alcohol and drugs it puts them in higher risk for abuse and even death.

Teens need to be more aware of the consequences that they face when becoming addicted to drugs and alcohol. Make a brochure for Alcohol and Drug Awareness Week.

Task

Make a brochure where teens will best understand the damage of alcohol and drugs

  • In a groups of 2 you must research the affects and causes that alcohol and drug abuse has a on teenager.
  • You also must find certain treatment programs that a teen can go to for help
  •  Other options that could help a teenager rather than a treatment program (who they can turn to or what they can do)
