Introduction
In this Webquest you will be learning how to add whole and decimal numbers. You will be in groups of two for this activity because in the end only one group will be the winner.

Here are the Indiana Standards for this actitivty.
4.NS.1: Read and write whole numbers up to 1,000,000. Use words, models, standard form and expanded form to represent and show equivalent forms of whole numbers up to 1,000,000.
4.NS.6: Write tenths and hundredths in decimal and fraction notations. Use words, models, standard form and expanded form to represent decimal numbers to hundredths.
Task
For the activity one of you will play the basketball game first while the other one takes the timed test and when time is up you two will switch places.
In the basketball game you will be asked ten questions of adding decimals and whole numbers, if you get the answer correct you have a chance at shooting the basket, but if you get it wrong the shot is missed.
The timed test is one minute long and once you are done you will wait for your partner to get done with the game, then you will switch.

Take your time on the questions and make sure you make your shots, they will count in the end!
For the person taking the timed test you are going to be timed for a minute but make sure you read the addition problem carefully so you do not make any mistakes.
Once you are both done, switch places and wait until I start the time again.
Evaluation
When everyone is done with the timed test, I will go over the answers and you will mark the ones you got wrong or did not do. Grade truthfully!

Conclusion
Now lastly, everyone has their timed test graded, we need to combine you and your partner's scores on the game. Which ever group mde the most shots combine is the winner!
